Economic and Social Policy

AI and the digital transformation, structural changes, and the need for an equitable, worker-centered transition to a zero-carbon economy are the current parameters for economic, social, and industrial policy. These challenges require public investments in (digital) infrastructure, sustainable technologies, and in the future workforce  to combat rising inequality and risks due to climate change.

In close cooperation with policy makers, unions, progressive think tanks, economists, as well as social movements, we address questions around work of the future, AI, skills development, transatlantic trade, labor relations, and a just transition in the U.S., Canada, and Germany.

We develop programs that convene leading voices in the field from both sides of the Atlantic to exchange and promote ideas that will lead to more democratic, sustainable, and socially equitable economies, stronger work forces voice and unions.
