Highlights: Race to the Finish Line: Perspectives on the 2022 Midterm Elections

The looming shadow of economic crisis, high inflation, the war in Ukraine, a fierce debate about abortion rights, and the aftermath of January 6th. The upcoming midterm elections do not lack hot topics, and the results will determine the course of U.S. politics for the next two years.

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Washington, D.C. hosted a midterm live-stream event on November 3rd with two leading Democratic and Republican campaign strategists. Our panelists were Celinda Lake, President of Lake Research Partners, and Ed Goeas, President and CEO of the Tarrance Group. Both strategists are at the top of their field and have lengthy experience in U.S. politics, having organized countless successful campaigns. The discussion was moderated by Knut Dethlefsen, Head of the FES office in D.C.
